Scope and controller
This notice concerns visitors to Akif Şen’s personal website, akifsen.com.tr, and its blog. Akif Şen is the controller for the processing within this scope. Contact: akif07@gmail.com. Application-specific pages under /privacy/ are separate notices for the respective mobile applications and are not replaced by this notice.
Information processed
Opening a page sends your IP address, requested URL, access time, browser and device information supplied by your browser, and request or error information to the server. The site owner does not maintain a separate visitor tracking system. The hosting service may nevertheless retain technical access or security logs. There is currently no registration, contact form, newsletter, advertising or analytics tool on this personal site, and no payment information is collected.
Authorized WordPress users have account and session information and administration preferences processed. If you send a LinkedIn message, the information you provide is used to handle the communication; the platform’s own processing is separate.
Purposes, collection and legal grounds
Technical information is obtained automatically through HTTP requests and server logs. Processing necessary to deliver the website, resolve errors and prevent unauthorized access is assessed under the legitimate-interest condition in Article 5(2)(f) of Turkish Law No. 6698, subject to protecting your fundamental rights and freedoms.
Where necessary, handling a statutory request may rely on Article 5(2)(ç); keeping evidence needed to establish, exercise or protect a right may rely on Article 5(2)(e). Merely visiting the website does not constitute consent to unrelated processing.
Service providers
The website is hosted on a server in Türkiye. Hosting and technical support providers may access technical information needed to operate and secure the site. Information may be shared with competent authorities where legally required.
Email communication uses Google Gmail. Messages you send are processed through Google’s infrastructure and may be processed outside Türkiye as part of that service.
Keeping your information
Retention is based on the purpose of processing and applicable legal periods. Correspondence is kept to respond to your request and handle any necessary follow-up. Records needed to meet a legal obligation or protect a right are retained for that purpose.
When there is no longer a reason to retain personal data, it is erased, destroyed or anonymized in accordance with applicable law.
Your rights under Turkish law
You may ask whether your personal data is processed, request information about that processing and its purpose, and learn whether use is consistent with that purpose. You may ask who receives the data domestically or abroad and request correction of incomplete or inaccurate information.
Subject to statutory conditions, you may request erasure or destruction and notification of corrections or erasure to recipients. You may object to an adverse outcome arising solely from automated analysis and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
Requests and contact
You can send privacy questions and requests to akif07@gmail.com. Formal requests must follow the applicable Turkish procedure, including written requests, registered electronic mail or qualifying electronic methods. For ordinary email, the previously notified and registered address condition or another valid method must be considered. Necessary, proportionate identity verification may be requested. Do not send identity documents or unnecessary sensitive information in your initial message. This Gmail address is not a registered electronic mail (KEP) address.
Requests must be handled as soon as their nature permits and within thirty days. A charge may apply only under the Board’s tariff where the process entails an additional cost. Following the controller request procedure, you may complain to the Board within the applicable statutory deadlines if a request is rejected, insufficiently answered or left unanswered.

When you follow links to services such as LinkedIn or GitHub, their own privacy and cookie policies apply. This notice is updated when the site’s services or use of data change. The update date appears at the top of the page.
